Sweet Home Alabama
Sweet Home, Alabama
Pretty and the old woman Slow got a much later start to their odyssey on Tuesday night because Pretty’s family came on New Year’s Day to have Christmas. That’s kinda the way Pretty’s family is. When they finished with their gifts, they loaded up The Red Man and Spike and took off for Texas. It rained almost the whole 980 miles from Casa de Canterbury to Worsham Street. They all arrived safely very late Wednesday night, but Tuesday night they stayed outside of Birmingham, Alabama and Wednesday morning they took a little side trip to Eutaw, which is south of Interstate 20. Pretty and Slow love a small town.
Eutaw has a Town Square which is great for Pretty to walk Spike and Red
Christmas tree coming down or low budget for tree trimming in 2012?
I-20 bypassed Eutaw…
…but Pretty found an Antique Store so life was good
Oh, no…not open until 1. Pretty was disappointed.
Pretty found an old mansion in Eutaw, too
I’ll think about it tomorrow…at Tara
Slow found a cemetery which she loves as much as Pretty loves an antique store
A Memorial for the Confederate Soldiers from the area was the centerpiece
Pretty studied the Memorial while Spike sniffed
Tiny mausoleum – but festive
Time to go

Love the mansion in Eutaw.
Thanks, Debbie…I’m afraid my photo didn’t do it justice…the chimneys were a very pale pink and my light wasn’t right to show those…it was on the top of a hill and I tried to take one showing that, too. Again. photographer error!
